North Shore OBGYN ladies (Bayside)
Did you have your ultrascreen at the office or NSUH? I thought it was done at the office but then I got a prescription in the mail so now I am confused.
Thanks!

The ultrascreen is done at NSUH. The other "regular" sonograms are done in the office. I think for the ultrascreen, higher quality images are needed for the measurements so they're done at NSUH.

CRAP! I never made this appt. I just got a random prescription in the mail and ignored it.
I go for an 11 week check-up on Tuesday which DH and I swore was the ultrascreen.
I will call the office on Monday.
Thanks!!!

I had my ultrascreen test at the hospital. I think the earliest u can be is 12 weeks and you have to have it done before your 14th week. They are pretty good with giving you an appt. So u should be fine.

You make the appointment directly with HSUH perinatel unit. The earliest you can have the ultrascreen is 12 weeks and there's a 2 week window so you're probably okay. HSUH was very accomodating when I called to make my appointment.
And if for some reason you can't have the ultrascreen done, I'm pretty sure the AFP test at 14 weeks tests for a lot of the same things.
