Nosebleed!

I know they are common in pregnancy - well I had my first one this morning.

As long as I still feel good, I can handle that side effect. Chat Icon

If you had them, did you get them all the time once they started?

Re: Nosebleed!

I got them with DD and this pg all through the winter

As soon as the air gets some moisture in it, my nosebleeds disappear.

You can keep them at bay by using a cool mist humidifier at night to keep the air moist-heat in the house and the cold outside aggravate an already sensitive pg nose. You get them because of the increased blood and your membranes in your nose are more sensitive.

You'll need the cool mist humidifier for the baby too

it stinks, but i hope you get relief once spring comes, i know i do

Re: Nosebleed!

i had this about 3 weeks ago... i couldnt blow my nose for 2 weeks.... all i would do is bleed.. but not out of my nose... down the back of my throat!!! which was horrible!!! i'd rather it come out of my nose.... i had to tell myself to relax a few times it was so bad.... i started sleeping with 2 humidifiers in my bedroom and as soon as we got snow/rain it went away... thank god... i can blow my nose again

I was getting them too, but the Ayr saline gel really helped. Its kind of gross to put in (I use a Q-tip so I don't have to use my finger!!!) but it totally works!
