Not asking for prayers but could use some good vibes...

I don’t like asking for prayers as I feel those are usually held in reserve for desperate times. If you choose to pray for me, well you have my heartfelt thanks. If you can just keep us in your thoughts that would be plenty fine.
I have been abundantly clear how much I miss Texas and how much I wanted to have a child there when I found out I was pregnant. Well when I got pregnant I told my boss I was on a 5yr plan. I had until AJ got into school to get back home (Texas)
Given the economic situation and that my company just bought out another, this goal was being put into a holding pattern. Work on small stuff but nothing really major going to happen soon, too much turmoil. I started on trying to get my AVP, work on finding out how to transfer my professional license, etc.
Then about 3weeks ago I was checking our company website job listings, which I do weekly - just in case. And guess what I found? An Account Executive position in San Antonio, Texas. Texas is home, but San Antonio is family. I was floored. I talked to my boss and away went my resume. Last week they contacted me to confirm my boss is onboard with this transfer to ask my salary expectations.
My boss is onboard and is my first reference contact and my salary expectations are about ‘mean’ level for my position based on BLS.gov and factoring in a 3year cost of living increase. Still that’s a $20K decrease in salary.
But can you imagine??? At least until I get my feet settled, no rent, no daycare and no MTA charges! Those three alone for me equal $3k a month!!! I already paid off both my cars. Ugh, I need this job!!! In essence a $20K decrease equals a $16k raise since I lose $36k in expenses by moving!!!
AJ would grow up with cousins and family instead of deserted out here in New York.
So do what you will, but please send my tiny family some good wishes. In the end, the worst case scenario is nothing gained and nothing lost and I’m still on my 5yr plan.
PS: Yes, my hubby is on board too. Oddly enough, he’d be a SAHD for a few months until he found something for himself!

You ladies are wonderful.
I dont know when I'll know for sure. I am trying HARD not to call every five minutes and ask "well?" LOL
I'm going to TRY to sit still for two full weeks before I follow up. I dont want to sound desperate.
Plus my company just cut off all pension contributions and will discontinue the pension, re-affirmed the hiring freeze, stopped the 401k match and confirm NO ONE gets rasies in 2009 (and I havent had one since i got hired in 2007)
So I got another week before I ask.
I'll keep you posted.
