Not big eater- dislikes "real" food milk transition Q
My DS is 11 months old & basically refuses any "real" food...he gags & just does not seem interested. (He only eats bananas).
Well he'll be a year May 7; I've been pumping the year & would love to transition him to whole milk on/about his first bday. YET I'm concerned b/c he's not a big eater (besides his bottles). He'll eat maybe 15-18 oz. baby food a day on a good day; on a bad day 8 oz. or so.
Has anyone had the same situation? Did you continue bfing/formula past his first bday until he became a better eater?

Re: Not big eater- dislikes "real" food milk transition Q
DD was never the best eater. She really disliked baby food.
Table food she is a picker. Because of that, I was reluctant to switch her to milk by her 1st birthday. I had her weaned totally off formula by 14 months, but she REFUSES milk. We can't even trick her. Since we've taken her off formula though, she has increased her food intake.
I just supplement more dairy into her diet to make up for the lack of milk.
She gets 2 or 3 sippies of yogurt smoothies a day which she will drink.
