NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I am almost 18 weeks and I am starting to get a little nervous. I havent felt the baby at all yet and I thought I would by now. Do you think it will happen any day now or is it something I should be concerned about at this point?

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I was the same way - at the end of my 18th week, I felt the baby.
It is still a little early for some people, 2 of my closest friends didn't feel the baby until their 22nd and 23rd week.

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I was actually closer to almost 26 weeks with my daughter - my son I felt MUCH sooner - around 14 weeks or so.
I wouldn't worry

Same here, with my first I was close to 24 weeks before I could tell it was him moving. You feel it so much sooner with your second! I felt her kick my bladder this time around at about 17 weeks.

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
i felt the same way...
i started to feel flutters around week 20. soon after there was one weekend she was going nuts, but then settled down the following week.
now at 30 weeks i am feeling a lot more. 2 weeks ago she was squirming around like a mad woman, last week she would give me a poke here and there.

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
do not be worried! I didnt feel the baby move until 21 weeks or so ....and now she doesnt stop kicking morning, afternoon, and night. I got myself all concerned for nothing. the dr said this varies for everyone and I have heard of some woman not feeling definate movement till 25 weeks! hang in there and be patient - it will happen!

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I felt the first movement at 18 weeks, then didn't feel it again for awhile. I think I didn't start to feel regular movement until 23-24 weeks.

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
With my 2nd, I didn't feel her till almost 21-22 weeks. And that was with knowing what to expect. I wouldnt worry, soon enough you'll be posting that you felt those first flutters.

I didn't really feel movement until well after 22 weeks. I wouldn't worry. Not everyone feels movement early.

Same here and I wasn't exactly sure what I was feeling either...I didn't feel anything really consistent until in the late weeks like 27+

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I wouldn't worry. I worried too that at around 18-20 weeks that I wasn't feeling much. You should start feeling the baby more after the 26th or 27th week.

Re: NOT feeling any movement yet..and worried
I am 23 weeks, and I don't feel any movement...never have.
At my last ultrasound a few weeks ago, my baby was kicking and moving all over the place, but because the placenta is positioned anterior (in between me and the baby), it is acting as a buffer between the baby and me...so I don't feel him, which stinks. Anyway, as I get bigger and further along, the placenta should move upwards and the baby will stronger, so I'll feel him later in the pregnancy.
