Not quite fashion, not quite diet and fitness - need your honest opinions regarding "tight jeans"

As some of you may know, I'm on a mission to fit back into my nice pre-preg wardrobe... back when I actually was able to spend money on clothes...

In this wardrobe, I possess 2 pairs of fave jeans - 1 True Religion, and 1 pair of 7's....

Now, the True Religions are holding out on me - they won't budge past my hips, but each month, they work up another 1/2 inch or so, so I see it happening someday.

The 7's jeans FINALLY are fitting today.

However, they are tight on me. Not busting a seam tight, but definitely have the tight look going on. Yes, I can bend and sit in them, but they used to be nice and fitted with a little bit of loose going on (size 27's) and now, you can see my butt really taking charge.... They aren't grotesquely tight - no wedgie or camel toe- just really, really fitted...

I am so thrilled they fit, I don't want to do something stupid by going out in public in them if it looks ridiculous...

What do you guys think about tight jeans? I know you will give me honest opinions - DH will tell me I look awesome no matter what, and I think most friends wont want to piss on my parade... so, I leave it to you brutally honest folks...

Should I wait to wear them, seeing that I'm clearly moving in the right direction, or should I wear them now, albeit a bit tight, because I can?

I think you should appreciate the amazing accomplishment you have made by fitting into those jeans!! However, if they are so tight that they make you question whether you should wear them, I would say wait just a LITTLE longer and then you can really strut your stuff with no worries about if they are too tight or not.

I'd wear them around the house and stretch them out a bit first Chat Icon

Jeans stretch 1/4 of an inch after 20 mins. If no camel toes, I would wear them around the house for a day or two and the Rock them outside, Good for you.

Omg I can't even tell you the last time I could squeeze into size 27 jeans! (That's a size 4 right?) Anyway, as long as any extra stuff didn't work its way up to the top of your pants (good old muffin top) and you don't have those tight horizontal creases right under your butt, I think you should be fine.

If you are asking the question then you already know they are too tight.

I just wanted to say YAY!!! Getting into a size 27 pair of jeans is a HUGE achievement! I agree with smdl...if you're asking they are prob still a tad too tight. Keep up the great work and they will fit perfectly in a few weeks!

It sounds like you may be a bit self conscious about it? If so, I would wait just a little more - and maybe wear them around the house like Lisa suggested to stretch them out a bit
