Not really pets but...
Has anyone seen the pre-historic looking dragon flies that have been flying lately
I was walking my dog Rexy and 2 of them flew out in front of us I swear one was as big as my fist!
 I was scared of it and normally I like there pretty colors and the fact that they leave you alone

I love dragonflies! You will find them wherever there are bugs because they eat them. Especially by water, whether it's a pond, lake, etc.
They used to love perching on my lilies when I lived in Long Beach:
I agree, they can be a little scary but mostly because of the noise, and that they aren't afraid to fly close to you!

there was one flying around the 74th Street Train Station in queens... people were freaking out
