not sure if this is normal pain- NON UPDATE UPDATE & a question
***Very boring update*** lol
I emailed him this AM, and he emailed back almost immediately to come in for an appointment . I'm feeling slightly better today so I havent called yet, and I have a feeling that it will slowly go away. Im concerned because I'm leaving for vacation this weekend and I dont want anything bad to happen. Would you go in for an appt just to be safe?
After my first full blown cycle I had this pain too (the cycle where I had the suspected chemical)
Since the trigger, I've been having pain and insane bloating in my belly area, its progressively getting worse every day (today I'm 6DPO). It hurts to touch my stomach and I feel like I have to pee every second. You know when you have a hugely full bladder, it hurts to sit, stand, move and touch your belly? That's me all day long. I pee a little but nothing in relation to the pain.
Last time I had this, it went away after AF. I googled it (of course) and it doesnt quite sound like an infection and I dont have a temp. I don't want to bother the doc with every complaint of pain (especially since I suffer from a chronic pain disorder normally). I had already told him I was in pain during the IUIs and he said it was normal and good (esp. since I had 5 follies).
Because of the fibromyalgia, its hard to gauge what is "normal pain" and not. So, what say you?
eta sorry I'm complaining so much this past week!!! i feel ike such a debbie downer!

Re: not sure if this is normal pain
i say bother your dr!!! That's what he's paid for!
I'm not sure... but I wouldn't take any unnecessary risks. Could it be gas? If definitely not then I think I'd be calling my dr in the morning. HTH!

OK I'm not sure what I read but for some reason I thought you did an IUI. You did IVF though, right? If so, bloating is completely normal. I have the same thing prunepie has--- I have to pee every 5 seconds...my stomach looks like I'm 4 months pregnant! I would call about the pain part anyway... I wonder if your body could be allergic to one of the suppositories or PIO...what else are you taking now that you weren't before ER?

Re: not sure if this is normal pain
Ok then I would def. call. She and I both did IVF which are known for bloating during 2ww (starting after ER really....though I feel bloated before it usually b/c of the # of follies). The bloat could be from that though, b/c it is the same stim meds....
Maybe it's from the trigger? I remember every time they triggered me w/ HCG (now I only trigger w/ lupron) getting this sharp shooting pain... I felt like (sorry for the gross image) I was impaled on a huge ice pick! They didn't last long though but they were the most painful moments of my life... literally. DH had to help carry me to the car once because I couldn't move.

Re: not sure if this is normal pain
this sounds pretty normal for 5 follies. i had this a few cycles when i was very bloated and so sore that i couldn't sit or stand without pain. its fluid buildup from the corpus luteum from having so many follies. its like OHSS but not full blown, almost like OHSS junior. theres not much that can be done for it. try drinking gatorade or drinks that have a lot of electrolytes.. for some people the onset of this during 5-7DPO can be a sign of pregnancy, but like all 2WW symptoms it's not true for everyone.
but if you feel like you are very nervous about it dont hesitate the call the dr. i remember dr. B's OHSS test was like banging or jiggling your belly - if it moved you didn't have OHSS if it was rock hard you did... oh yeah and he did some bloodwork too
but seriously if you are in a ton of pain and concerned, call or email the doctor!!!!!

Re: not sure if this is normal pain
I had really really bad follie pain last thurs into fri. It hurt to walk, But then by Sat, it went away. I had 4 follies this time but had experienced this with just 2 before.
I'd call Dr. B. It could just be the follies filling bac up with fluid, but better safe than sorry.
ETA Feel better!

Re: not sure if this is normal pain
I had my B2B IUI's Monday and Tuesday (yesterday). After the 2nd IUI until today I feel like my stomach is distended and I have normal O type pains but they are like 10x worse than normal.
This is my first month with 3 maybe 4 follies on femara and follistim, all the other times with femara alone I made only 2 follies.
Monday before my IUI I felt skinny, now my pants are too tight and I am uncomfortable and all movements give me magnified O pains. I am pretty miserable about it and feel like what you are describing is the same thing I am feeling!
Fell better!

Re: not sure if this is normal pain- NON UPDATE UPDATE & a question
yup- I'm leaving for florida tonight and if i was feeling any discomfort AT ALL, I'd go in to be safe. Don't know how far you're going away, but I'd want the peace of mind from my own dr as well as what I should/could do to help make it better (if anything) Have fun!!!

I'm going to DR where their medical care leaves much to be desired. Thank you for all your responses and enjoy FL!

Re: not sure if this is normal pain- NON UPDATE UPDATE & a question
def go!! after my BFP i had very bad pain, could barely walk, and terrible bloating. he took me right away in the city office. he actually did a sono to check my ovaries at like 4w5d (he wouldn't even show me the screen though since he said everything looks like it could be a baby at that point!!). def go see him (and tell him i miss him ) especially since you are going away!!. it will make you feel better!!

Yeah, I called at like 230 and they let me come in right away. He said there was fluid but he also took blood amd urine. I'm praying I habe a bladder infection because this pain is no joke. hopefully the test results come in today. Thanks gor checking in.
