Not sure if this is pink eye....
After Julia's Ice skating lessons today I noticed that she had some greenish/yellow discharge in the corner of her eye and it was pink, now she does have a bad cold and is all congested, the other eye seems to be getting the same thing, could this be pink eye? or an eye allergy? can you get pink eye in both eyes so fast, or does it start off slow? TIA.

Gilly was sick all week with the same type of look that you are describing. I thought also..."OMG its pink eye". It totally wasnt. It was just part of her cold. Pink eye from what Ive seen, the eye gets kind of swollen, lots of oozing, and redness. Alot of discharge. If by chance it is pink eye, it will look alot worse tomm. i am betting its part of her cold or like you mentioned an allergy.

Last January, DS had a cold and rubbed a boogie into his eye and ended up with pink eye. The ped did give us antibiotic drops for it and that cleared it up right away

Both times DD had gunk in her eye it turned out to be an ear infection. I hope she feels better!

Like others have said, when DD had a nasty head cold a few months ago, her eyes got all red and crusty, both eyes at the same time...I took her to the ped's thinking it was pink eye and he said it likely WASN'T pink eye, it was most likely just because of the extreme congestion, and she had a mild ear infection in one ear. We did use eye drops just in case it was pink eye, but none of us thought it was...they didn't itch her or anything.
Hope she's cleared up soon!

Clover had a cold which turned into pink eye last week. It spreads like wildfire but is easily treated, so yes, I'd say it sounds like it.

Thanks girls, I thinks she has it cause shes telling me her eyes itch and she still has some green stuff coming out of the corners of her eyes. ThankGod I still have some antibiotic eye drops here (from when I thought she had it a few months ago), so the Dr told me to use it. Hopefully it goes away soon!!
