Not sure what to do....
Ever since Cailen has been sick, he has been refusing to nap. He is clearly exhausted, and always fights naps as it is, but now he is worse.
The past few days, he has forced himself to scream for an hour, and because he is sick I have been giving in.
Today I am refusing. He is screaming bloody murder. Shaking the crib, howling....
I am trying to wait it out because he is just miserable when he doesn't nap - and will cry down here anyway. And he needs sleep to get better.
I hate hearing him scream like this when I know he doesn't feel better, but he is fighting everything.
Make me feel better and assure me I am doing the right thing. and pray he passes out soon!!!!
He has been up since 6AM.....

he may be done with the morning nap... he may take one later but def sounds like the morningone is over..

It's hard, but I'd let him cry. Like you said, he is clearly tired. He will get back into a groove. My DD does that sometimes and it's clearly a tantrum, she stomps her feet, shakes the crib railing and screams like she's being murdered. She gives up eventually and wakes up like a new child! He won't hate you after he finally crashes!

Actually, he doesn't really take consistent naps... never did, even as a newborn. Naps have always been hell, and usually I don't even bother... but he clearly needs sleep right now and he refuses....

I hope he fell asleep by now I say do what you have to do while he is sick...even if it spoils him a little bit. When he is feeling better..u can make him cry much more! What about making him nap in the stroller??

Could you take him for a walk in his stroller and he might nap that way?

Ladies - I caved, and brought him downstairs - within 30 seconds, he passed out on the couch!!!!
