Not sure what to do.

Hi. I am not a regular poster by any means...but I am using a different screen name due to some family members being regular posters.

I am just looking for some insight....

In November of 2009 I had a miscarriage followed by a D&E.
I was 15.5 weeks along. The Drs believe I lost the baby somewhere along the 14 week mark.
Prior to this I had two successful full-term pregnancies in 2005 and 2007.

In 2008 I had some blood work done during a physical and it came back with a positive ANA. Have been tested for a ton of autoimmune diseases. So far nothing has turned up. Also I keep going back and forth between a positive ANA and none at all depending on what lab is used.

The testing that was done after the miscarriage came up with nothing. The dr who did my D&E mentioned taking baby aspirin if I ever got pregnant again or possible some injections.

I never had any testing done because I figured I was done having babies.

Well low and behold I am pregnant again. Took a test this afternoon and it is positive.

I am beyond scared. Don't really know who to see...do I go back to my regular OBGYN or do I try to see a specialist.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

First off- Congrats!!!!! I know you're scared and I'm so sorry that you have that fear.
I would go to my regular OBGYN and see what he/she recommends.

Congratulations! I'm sure you must be very nervous. I would definitely take the baby aspirin, if you aren't already. And call your OB asap. Are they aware of the issues you've had in the past? Hopefully they will see you right away and let you know if you need to see a specialist.
