Not the end of the world, but you know what really really sucks??

PEANUT ALLERGIES.

Like I haven't had enough to worry about w/Johnny. Add his peanut allergy to the mix.

It was easy to watch and be aware of when he was little. Now that he is older it's a mix of good and bad..he knows not to eat things he isn't sure of. But what really sucks...there was a bday party at school-the mom baked cupcakes and brought them in. Normal. Johnny has cupcakes that i made for him for occasions like these where the teacher isn't sure if he can have the class cupcake....

Well the teacher was sick the other day. The two assistants in his room that know him well and have been there since day ONE weren't sure if they should give him the bday cupcake...and they both couldn't remember if he had his own cupcakes in the fridge at school...

SO my poor kid sat there eating goldfish crackers while the entire class had cupcakes.

I go to the assistants "he has his own cupcakes in the fridge..". They answered "yeah but Ms. Ryan usually handles that, we didn't want to risk anything".

I would understand if Johnnys name and information weren't labeled on the outside of the container. REALLY??

Sorry, vent over. I just felt bad. I go out of my way to make sure he can enjoy with the class and then find out he sat and cried for a minute until he got over it..

It really does suck.

I have nut allergies too, and I feel left out when I go to dinner with friends/parties/etc. and I don't know what something is cooked in.

I can only imagine being a little boy and feeling left out.
