Nothing is worse then going to a party that starts at 6 and there is hardly any food.....UGH!!!
Dips and Veggies, and cheese and crackers....I mean people are coming straight from work....DH and I just ordered a pizza!

that is the WORST 
i am actually just taking a break from stuffing mushrooms, making a veggie platter, a cold cut platter, cheese/crackers, all sorts of chips and dip, an anti pasta salad, fresh tomato and mozzarella, among a bunch of other things and people are bringing stuff too!
i am even doing a lot for dessert: two types of cookies, cheesecake, a homemade apple pie, etc.
AND my party (tomorrow) starts at 7:30 so it's really considered "cocktail party" b/c it's on a saturday at 7:30 so most people have eaten dinner at that point-- how frustrating for you!
it's like- if you are going to half azz it, don't do it at all!

my DEAR SWEET FRIEND DANI didn't realize that she told 2 people that the same dish was OK to bring

i LOVE that too! that was my original idea - but someone is making that too!
sounds like there's a lot of apps...maybe I'll make dessert? a cake or something?
