Now that Miss Ava is on the go......
she will not sit still in the bath tub anymore....all she wants to do is stand up.....she has no interest in her toys anymore at all. I used to love giving her baths and now I dread it......because she throws a fit when I sit her back down! Any suggestions?

I've been taking Emily in the shower with me .... sitting her on the floor and just giving her some shampoo bottles and some of her bathtime toys.
She crawls around a bit and belly slides but for the most part I think it's OK. Just mke sure you have a faucet cover so she doesn't bump her head if you do decided to do it.
Plus it's SUPER fast and easy. Way easier then setting up her whole tub and doing that whole shabang...

does she try to stand up though.....ui probably wouldn't even be acble to shower,,,,,the kid doesn't sit still...I sware it's like someone wound her up and let her go! She is like this all day.....she only takes 1 nap too

Ryan and I take a bath together most nights- and he loves it- because we play with all his toys.....
If I dont get in with him- he has to be in a tubby seat- because he is EVERYWHERE!

She does try to stand up and it does make me nervous -- but so far she only tried once and I just gave her a different shampoo bottle and thta occupied her for a while. It's a totally new experience for her so for the most part she just sits there and relaxes.
If you are nervous for that you could always try showering with her in your arms at night when your husband is home --- we did that first before I tried sitting her on the floor ... it takes all of 3 or 4 mintues and then once she's clean I pass her back to him and he gets her in her PJs for the night. It's super fast and easy.

I just take her in the shower with me but she's not walking yet so she just sits still and plays with her toys.
