NPR - Someone pulled our little Japanese Maple Tree right out of our front lawn last night!!
I am so upset. DH was livid. We were leaving for work this morning and DH was like LOOK AT THIS! A few months ago, we planted a little Japanese Maple in our front lawn. Someone actually pulled it right out of the ground and put it down on the grass right next to where it was planted and growing beautifully. I can't believe people. I'm assuming it was teens playing around, but come on!! DH replanted it immediately, but he said it will probably die from being uprooted.

DH landscaped our whole front yard with thousands of dollars of ornamental bushes when we first moved in. The next day several very expensive ones were gone. Totally s*cks!!!

In your case it's probably just kids...although it's not uncommon for people to steal newly planted landscaping from peoples yards. I learned that lesson the hard way.

I know they are NOT cheap. (we just bought one) and im wondering if someone was trying to take it, possibily got caught and left it behind???

That sucks.
On the other hand, we do have one DH wants to get rid of. He wanted a miniture one but this is a regular one. (Does that even make sense?)
I'll ask him when he's getting rid of it if you want it.

We have a large Japanese Maple tree in our backyard and have been told by numerous people that Japanese Maples are very, very expensive. They said that our tree, which is very large, would sell for a few thousand dollars. I would love to sell it b/c it is in the middle of my backyard, and while it is very pretty, i would rather the money. My DH is worried that if we try to sell it, someone might just come and steal it while we are at work !
