NPR: cleaning lady

Those of you who have a cleaning lady come in- what do you pay? At 9 mos pg, I'm really having a hard time keeping up with all the dog and cat hair in this house.....

I pay $60 per week. 3-4 people come and do my house in an hour. We have a dog, and a multi-level split.

She is based in Brentwood but goes all over LI. I started with just one girl and now she has 2-3 people working with her so it gets done so much faster.

This is the last thing I would give up if I had to go on austerity!

I recently hired a cleaning lady b/c our house was just getting overwhelming to keep up with. I pay $120 every two weeks for two women to come in and they do a fabulous job. It's the BEST thing I've done for myself while pregnant!

I've had a cleaning lady for the past few years..... and I cannot imagine life without her..... if DH and I had to clean this house... we would be a slave to it....

We pay $65/week, but I do not have her do the 3 guest rooms or the guest bathroom unless we are having company....then I pay her $90-$100...

She is in the Sayville area and travels Suffolk... if your interested...

We hired one about a month ago and I give her 12.00 an hour.
The lady I used to have charged 10.00 per hour

$100 one day a week. She does laundry and ironing also. I absolutely love her. The best!!!

FYI-I live in a 3 bedroom ranch with a full finished basement...

Every other week and we pay $80.00. They quoted us $70.00 but my mom offered them $80.00 (She is nuts)

I have a four bedroom colonial.

we have someone come every other week---$55. guess we get a good deal for 3 levels with 3 bd/2.5 bath. It's a guy who my aunt has used for years, so we got a good rate.

OK I am posting here the company I use -- the woman I use was on her own and recently joined with this guy. Good thing because she doesn't speak much English so it is better to speak with the guy who sends the crews out. Tell him I gave you his # - he SAYS I am his favorite customer, lol!

I found one for $70 a week and will do laundry. I am going to have her come twice a week when the twins arrive and then she goes down to $50 a week and she comes with a crew of 3
