NPR: Harry Potter Series

so I've attempted to watch Harry Potter movies in the past, but never caught on...I always fell asleep (I think because they're soooo long!!)

but now I've finished the 1st two movies, and they are really good!!!! I'm hoping to watch all of them in a row so I can take DH to see the new one...he is a huge HP fan!

I'm happy I agreed to start watching!!! Chat Icon

I'm a huge fan of the books! The movies get better with time. The first books were introductory and then by book 3 and 4 they are more action-packed.

I didn't think I was going to get to see the last movie in the theater with my due date so close, but DH and I went to see it on Sunday and I LOVED it!

That's what DH says!! He keeps saying "wait til you watch 3 and 4!"

So I'm excited for tonight to watch them, esp if they get better!

I've taken DH to one or two when they came out, but I always fall asleep!!! This time I will maybe take him to a matinee lol

Re: NPR: Harry Potter Series

I LOVE the Harry Potter Series. The books are amazing. Movies #1 and 2 were done really well. Honestly most of the movies were done well but two of them missed the mark for me. In my opinion movie #3 (even though it's one of my fav books in the series) was horrible and movie #6 wasn't anything to write home about either.

The books are 1000x's better than the movies overall though. Try to read the books if you have a chance.

ETA I can't wait to go watch this last movie.Chat Icon DH and I are probably going on Monday.

DH and I saw them all when they first came out. We recently rewatched them before seeing the final movie. Very good movies!

I've read all the books twice (or 3 times, in the case of books 3 & 4). Even if you have seen the movies, you should read the books when you have a chance. Sure, you'll know the ending of each, but the books have so many more characters, more side-plots, and more depth than a 2 hour movie can handle. So plenty will be new to you, even if you already know the story from the movies. Enjoy! External Image
