NPR: Need ideas for DH's 30th
I have NOOOOOO idea what to do for his 30th birthday!!!! I don't want to spend a lot of $$$ considering I'm not working and the new baby...any ideas??? I also would love to have the baby with us, we were going to do an intimate dinner at Koi in the city but we wouldn't bring DD with us, and that makes us feel

what about throwing a little surprise party with just close friends at home. This way you can get some food, alcohol, etc and it'll be an intimate dinner witha few other couples.

I was honestly thinking about this, but the idea of cleaning up afterwards makes me a little

I loooooooooove that idea, but I'm one of those crazies and bc DD is only going to be just shy of 3 mos, I'm scared to be far away from home... I know I'm being difficult..
ETA: My DH will not like a weekend in the city, we're always in the city, and he works in the city, so he just wants to get out sometimes..u know..

or taking it to a restaurant locally... just say you're taking him out to a nice restaurant for his bday w/ the baby and when you get there have his friends waiting for him at the table with balloons and pre-order a cake. This way you can split the bill, no mess and the baby will be there to celebrate.

My DH is turning 30 on 3/19 and I am in the same predicament. I was thinking since its a big bday to do a two day thing, with one day being like a "family" day and the other an "us" day.

Oops i am sorry i didnt know you wanted to take DD along with you.
I would suggest a nice family get together at home or a small party at home with close family members.
