NPR: New Years...
Anyone have any exciting ideas for this years new years? Its obviously not going to be as crazy as previous years... what's everyone else doing?

The same thing we did the last time I was pregnant. I invited some family and friends for a special dinner and then poker afterwards.

Thats what I want to do, but none of my friends have kids... or want to stay in.. they are all single.. and want to go out and be crazy!!!

We're doing the same thing we do every year, only I wont be drinking.
We go to a party up in the West Point area and book a hotel room to crash afterwards with friends. Its always a blast, we dress up, eat and drink. I still plan to have a great time, but I'll be sipping Shirley Temples instead of cocktails

Our normal plans fell thru this year so we are going to stay local, go to a nice dinner and then enjoy a quiet evening at home.

Exciting?! That actually made me chuckle... I can't see us doing anything remotely exciting this year... will probably do the PJs on the couch thing - that sounds really good right now!

Normally we go to Westchester and spend time with some friends.
This year we will hopefully have a newborn and won't be going out.

since I'll be 38 weeks at New Years, DH and I may go out to dinner then back home. Honestly, I can't stay awake now till 12, not sure how I will do it in 3 weeks!

Well, I will be pretty pregnant on New Year's so I think we'll just stay in and order in food, watch some movies and if I can stay awake-- watch the ball drop.

I will be 31 weeks then, and definitely not going to a crazy party or to a bar. DH is a cop and has to work, and unfortunately everyone else I know is doing the latter, so as of now, I will probably be on my own.

We don't plan on doing anything crazy this year for obvious reasons. We're looking at possibly going to a New Years eve concert and maybe just getting some dinner. Either way, no matter what we end up doing, it will be low key.

Not a clue - last year DH and I stayed home w/ some good cheese and a few good bottles of wine and watched an Entourage marathon in our PJs -
No wine for me this year - BOO !!

So many people do what DH and I do every year!! Its so nice to hear!! last year we went out to a nice dinner and then had a Wii tournament with my parents and my brother and his wife.. it was fun!!!
I just am totally not into the going crazy on new years thing anymore... maybe ill invite my parents and my brother and his wife to our house this year...
