NPR: work vent!

So, I was told to write this letter that was part of a legal case and make sure that the letter DOES NOT go out to the person that it is for, it will be presented during the case.

I write the letter and I take all the steps to make sure the letter does NOT get mailed through the system, it gets printed out and given to ME so I can take it where it needs to go.

I check a million times to make sure that I did it right. Then I asked my supervisor to come over and check to see that it will NOT go out and it will come back to me.

Now, it has been a few days and it MAY have gone out to the person! I could have ruined this entire case with one stupid letter, its a big deal for some reason. . .so, I approach my supervisor and tell him what happened and before I can get it all out he blurts out "I NEVER SAW HOW YOU TRANSMITTED IT!" and I replied, of course you did - I asked you to come to my desk and watch over my shoulder. And he says "Oh no, I have no idea, I never actually saw it"

So, he is ALREADY throwing me under the bus which means if it really comes down to it and this letter went out, I am on my own even though I tried to cover my behind.

I am so furious right now, my face is bright red and I REALLY want to say something to him but I am biting my tongue.

Ugh, that is a horrible situation! Definitely bite your tongue and see what happens...ugh, I hate people!
