NSUH appointment
We met with Dr Scholl and went over our medical histories. He seems very confident and competent. In addition, he will not proceed until he actually diagnoses the reason we are not pregnant. He is scheduling an HSG and testing in teh 2 ww time to check progesterone. Once he gets day 3 bloodwork he will have a full picture and although he anticipates 2 cycles of testing, he will be aggressive after that
He does not think we are candidates for IVF until he knows why - the whole 'unexplained infertility' is not enough for him
Dh's low SA didn't seem to concern him too much - he said it was low, but not impossible to work with. DH also has to go for an SA in the hospital lab
I felt it was a good meeting and I think we made the right decision switching dr.'s

Re: NSUH appointment
Wow that sounds terrific !!! I am so happy he isn't going to accept unexplained infertility as a diagnosis.
That's my title now and I just think it shows poor medical care !
I hope this gets on it's way and you will have a beautiful baby by next year !!!!

Re: NSUH appointment
Dr. Scholl is my MD too. He is a little dry but all I care about is that he knows what he is doing and he certainly seems to be on top of that. We are doing our first IVF soon.
