NSUH IVF girls-bumped for appt update

So this last iui didn't work. I am meeting with Dr. Rosenfeld in the morning. This was my 7th iui. We had previously discussed if this one didn't work I'd be moving onto IVF. I'm assuming he'll check my ovaries to make sure they are back to normal and schedule me for an IVF consult.

I am really bummed he won't be my RE anymore, but I am ready for this baby already! My question is how long do you think I'll have to wait for the consult (tom. is cd3 for me)? I am ready to get this show on the road. If it were up to me, I'd start the meds now!!!

I know this isn't the case, but as you can see I am super anxious. Realistically, when do you think my IVF will be? Is there any more testing I have to have done? Also, who will I be scheduled with? Do I pick or does he just set me up with someone? Just curious how all this works. TIA.

***so I went today for my appt. He cannot believe we are not pregnant already! So he referred me to Dr. Rausch for an IVF consult. We have our appt. in 2 days. EEEKK!!!! I have so many crazy emotions going on. I cried a lot today. I just never imagined this would be my life. But it is what it is, right? Gotta hope that this is what it takes to give me my take home baby. Thanks for listening ladies.

i dont go to that practice but i dont see why you would have to waste time waiting for a consult considering most people start IVF with BCP anyway. it seems like a waste of time to have to wait and THEN start 3 weeks or more of BCP. when i went in for CD3 i started BCP that day. it was around september 1 or so and i ended up with my retrieval on 10/8 and my transfer on 10/13. i tested BFP on 10/20 with confirmed beta on 10/21 & 10/23. im now 17w.

I saw Rosendfeld in the beginning then after 3 failed IUI's I went to see Dr Scholl. If I remeber correctly from the intial visit with Dr Scholl until the time I started the meds for the IVF cycle it was about 4 weeks. I saw him Mid Oct then started my meds around Nov 19th and did my retrival Dec 5 and transfer Dec 8th.

I think you might have to do some more blood work and maybe meet with gentics I am not sure. I just had to do more bloods as well as DH and then go see a genetics couselor.

I'm sure you can make an appt with one of the other doc's within7-10 days and with your next period start up for ivf. It typically takes 6-7wks from that period to retrieval/transfer.

When I went there, which was 2 years ago, Dr. Rosenfeld told me which doctor he wanted me to meet with. He was turning me over to Dr. Cohen. When I went to make the appointment for the consult with him he didn't have anything sooner than 3 weeks. I asked them if I could just go with another doctor in the practice that had something sooner &they said no. So I wasted a whole month waiting for the consult, had to then get more bloodwork done for myself&my husband and then could start.

I also did couple of IUIs with Dr. Rosenfeld. When it was time to move on to IVF, he told me to make an appointment with Dr. Scholl for an IVF consult. I read some great reviews about another RE so I wanted to see him instead. When I called to make an appointment I asked for an appointment with the RE I wanted to see with no problems. I believe I did have to wait for couple of weeks though.

I met with Dr. Cohen for a consult which happened to be on Day 2 of my cycle. He did some additional blood testing, and I started BCP on Day 4. I am going to start Lupron in a few weeks. For me the process happened very quickly but I have already done IVF with another doctor. So far I am very happy with Dr Cohen. Dr. Scholl did one of my procedures and he was great as well. I would feel very comfortable with both of them!

We'll be doing IVF there at the same time. My consult is 1/23 I can't believe my iui's didn't work either. same reaction when I saw Dr. H today... Maybe I will see you there!

Oh Jeeze I never noticed the date! Congratulations on your !! This is great news. Thanks so much for the confidence boost- I am so anxious to get going!
