NT scan - is it an internal? how long does it take?
going for our NT ultrascreen tomorrow and just wondering what to expect

it's not internal, a regular u/s. Depends on how long it takes for them to get an accurate measurement...my LO wouldn't move so they had a tough time getting a picture of the fold...took maybe 15 minutes? good luck!

Mine took an hour and a half. They had a very difficult time getting poppy seed to stretch out.

Mine was a regular U/S, they tech said it could be internal if they couldn't get the pics.

Mine was about 25 minutes. Not internal, as others said. First 'good' shots of baby! It's very cool. Enjoy and good luck!

It's the best sonogram as far as I'm concerned. It took half an hour. They're not done internally.

It is usually done externally, but, I am a tech, and if we can't get good images or accurate measurements we will do an internal sono to get a closer look. Could take anywhere from 15 mins to 45 mins, but shouldn't take longer than that.
