NT Scan yesterday!!
I had my NT scan yesterday and it was so neat. Our tech was condescending and treated us like we were idiots but I just ignored him and watched the screen. My baby kept swimming around and sucking both thumbs - it was such an awesome feeling! I get the blood test results back on Monday and then our parents have the go-ahead to tell the family (finally!).
Oh, and I also had my 12-13 wk appointment with my doc, but we didn't do anything (no ultasound, scan etc). Is that normal?

Re: NT Scan yesterday!!
Yay! Its the best seeing the LO swimming around in there! Sorry you had a bad tech though.
Yes, at my 12 week apt the Dr. just listened to the heartbeat on the doppler. They took pee and my blood pressure.

Re: NT Scan yesterday!!
The appts get less exciting as you go on. If there's no sono it's usually just BP, weight, pee in a cup maybe measure your belly and that's it, oh and sometimes they'll just do a doppler.

Re: NT Scan yesterday!!
How exciting!!!
At my 13w appointment we did BP, weight, urine sample and a quick sono. My OB does a sono at every appointment, most likely for billing purposes... but it's fine by me!

Re: NT Scan yesterday!!
That's awesome you had such a great experience!!!!
My OB doesn't do ultrasounds at every appointment. They only do the 4 or 5 major ones the whole PG. At my 12-week appt, my doctor listened to the heartbeat on the dopplar. I hope he does that again in two weeks at my appointment... I miss our baby!!

I know what you mean! It was awesome listening to the heartbeat - it made it real for me (besides my huge tummy ) and now I miss it!
