N'tl Board Certification
Have any of you completed National Board? Anyone ELA middle school? I am considering it this school year. Please enlighten me as to what I am getting into!

Haven't done it yet, but I'm embarking on that journey myself next year  I have no idea exactly what it entails, only that it's supposedly a lot of work. The pay difference in NC is $8000 a year, so to me it's worth it!

I don't think NY pays for any of it. Nor do I think it makes a difference in your pay once you get it here.

I *think* NYC offers some kind of support with the fees. I've thought about it- I know people who have done it and it's a ton of work, and I don't know if there is any financial incentive (salary-wise) in NYC. Now's not the best time for me to do it, but maybe someday.
