DS had no trouble ripping it off every time I had him on the changing table.

Re: Nursery Borders? has anyone tried to take one OFF yet?
Yes, I have taken a few down, one was completely by myself while DH was out of town.
I didnt find them too hard, took patience but not too bad.
Go to Home Depot and there is a tool, its a circle the perforates the paper. You go in circles all over and it makes holes to allow the liquid to get behind it. Then you can get a removal aid from HD or I *think* I used water and vinegar (do a google search). I used a spray bottle and soaked the paper. wiped it with a paper towel and soaked it more. Then I just scraped it off. Once I got a section started I would lift it and spray the liquid under hte paper as well. Just go slow and its not bad.

I agree. It sucks. Border and wallpaper are the worst invention ever.
That said. Soak it really well with water and it comes off, it's just a PITA.

Re: Nursery Borders? has anyone tried to take one OFF yet?
I had NO TROUBLE removing the border from DD's room. My painter told me to first peel the vinyl "print" part off the border. This leaves the paper part still stuck to the wall. I then used a product called WP Chomp (I got it at Home Depot). I sprayed it on the wallpaper and then used a plastic scraper thing. The border practically jumped off the wall itself. I could not believe how easy it was. MUCH easier than when I used that circular tool that perforates the wallpaper.

Same here.
I put it up 36 weeks preggo and took it down this summer. It's easy. Took less than an hour for a large room.
You can also use super cheap liquid fabric softener. Supermarkets used to sell a generic pink gallon of liquid softener for less than $2. Use the hottest water you can stand, heat it in a pot, soak a large sponge and saturate the area. Make sure you get all of the glue off or you will see it through flat paint.
