Nursery Furniture Question

How did you find actual furniture that matched?

My heart is set on a Honey color for furniture but I am about to say we're getting white because I can't seem to find a glider to match the other stuff I like.

We are looking for a crib, a small dresser, a small changing table and a Glider. We don't have much room in the nursery for big furniture items.

Please help! Post yours too please!

Re: Nursery Furniture Question

Can anyone help? I really just want to know if you were able to find a glider that matched the other furniture in your nursery.

Re: Nursery Furniture Question

Not a big help but, I didnt find one, I am going with the espresso color. We are asking DH's grandpa to build us one, that way it will be special to us.

Re: Nursery Furniture Question

I couldnt find the one I wanted in the "normal" places and then I looked at walmart and they have many gliders that you can pick the wood type and the fabric color.

We have expresso furniture.

Re: Nursery Furniture Question

I have a honey oak nursery set and a light natural wood glider. Honestly, I don't think it clashes (pics in album).

i'm getting a used crib and a 'natural' glider - i believe they'll be close - but honestly, matchy matchy never worked for me to begin with... It's very likely i'll have a blanket on the glider a lot of the time too...

Re: Nursery Furniture Question

Ugh ....whoever made up the rule that all wood stains MUST match was an idiot. It does not HAVE to match in order to look nice !!! -

BUT, if that is the look that you LIKE better than having different wood stains, that's a totally different story, what about an upolstered glider?
