Nursing bra vs. tank question.
So.. I never got around to getting a nursing bra before I was put on bedrest. I would go to the store to get one but, after yesterday's outing I had my pressure reallly high and I'm not leaving bed again unless it's for a doctor appt.
I have three nursing tanks and some pads.. Do you think that is enough for the begining? I can't even imagine how sending DH to the store to buy me a nursing bra would go. I was thinking of using the tanks while in the hospital and then sending my Mom out to get one.
I had looked in target but, I didn't see anything big enough. I have a small around the rib size but, a big cup size. It's kind of hard to find.

This is definitely enough. You may want to get a couple of sleep bras too. I was on bed rest at the end of my pregnancy, and I was the same as you- I wasn't sending DH out to get nursing bras. I ordered online. The good thing about the tanks/sleep bras is they come in s-m-l-xl, etc, so you don't really have to try them on. When you are ready for the bras, I just got one I LOVE - from pea in the pod. It took me a loong time (and a lot of wasted money) to find one that was actually comfortable and fit well.

That's a tough one, since bra's are an issue for me big time. I would want to try them on for comfort but if you do order online, go with the non- underwire ones that almost look like a sports bra . I think the tanks should be ok for the first few days, but they might not offer enough support especially when the milk comes in

Re: Nursing bra vs. tank question.
I was on bedrest too, but I ended up stopping and picking up 2 nursing bras right after a doctor's appointment. The woman at the store said to go up 1 cup size from what I was at the time. For me, that was a great estimate.
You'll probably be fine with what you have, but I agree about getting some sleep bras. You can also a few more nursing tanks online. I love nursing tanks and lived in them during my maternity leave.

Yes. I have the ones from motherhood.
They are really comfortable, and 12.98 when you buy two or more!
ETA: they call them "wrap bras" on the website

Re: Nursing bra vs. tank question.
Sleep bras are a MUST for me. I have nursing tanks also that I wear almost every day, they're so convenient....but I get hot when I sleep..usually I slept in nothing up top but now I have to keep the girls contained and from leaking so the sleep bras are a godsend!!
