Nursing Bras/Tops
So I plan on BFing but since I am a first time mommy I dont know how well it will work. Did you(or do you plan to) bring a nursing bra/top to the hospital with you? Is it completely necessary to have nursing bras and tops or can you get away with wearing your regular clothes and just maneuvering them?
I dont have a clue here but I dont want to spend a fortune on something I might not even need (if baby doesnt latch on and I dont end up BFing)

I brought nursing tanks to the hospital with me, but I bought really cheap ones from Walmart (online), that way if it didn't work out, I didn't spend a fortune. They were $10 or $11 each I think, and shipping is 97 cents per item.

Re: Nursing Bras/Tops
I bought a few nursing tanks and a nursing bra from Target to bring to the hospital. They weren't very expensive and I just figure it will be easier than having to fidget with my top every time.

Re: Nursing Bras/Tops
I had 2 nursing bras at the hospital with me. Didn't use them. I hung out in just a t-shirt and loose shorts.
By the time I got home I really used the nursing bras and tank tops. My favorite were the Target nursing tanks.

Re: Nursing Bras/Tops
with my 1st I only got a few cheap nursing bras, but didn't have them at the hospital, so no you don't need them. Then when I found I was sticking with it I bought some better ones. I am glad I waited to get more cause I lost weight and the "girls" got smaller too.
This time I have a ton to bring with me. I too love the target tanks cause you can wear them under a sweat outfit or any shirt and your belly is not hanging out.
Something you might want to consider getting are some nursing pads/shields....cause I am sure at some point your milk will leak.
