NY 529 plan
Ok, with kids 10+ years away from college where do you have YOUR money allocated??? Agressive growth?

we don't have 529s for the kids, but we tend to invest aggressivly. however, dh sets trading strategy for the hedge fund he works for, so he's really informed about the stuff we are in.

529 plans offer age-based investment allocations for those not comfortable with allocating their own portfolios. The more time there is before the stated beneficiary needs the money, the more aggessive the portfolio tends to be. Or, you can pick and choose the funds you wish to invest in.

We have it in the most aggressive right now. Our plan will gradually move it to more conservative investments as the children approach 18.
