NYC Application and Online Interview
Did anyone else get asked to participate in an online interview after they submitted an application to NYC Board of Ed?
If so, did you have any idea of the answers they were looking for?
Does anyone know anything about it?

Re: NYC Application and Online Interview
I did it. I just put what I felt was an honest answer.

Re: NYC Application and Online Interview
I did that last year, but nothing ever came of it. I guess I didn't answer how they wanted me to.
Can somebody please post the link to the website that you submit your application to NYC again.
Thanks

Same here. AND I have two connections in the NYC schools!
Apparently the whole "if you have a pulse, they'll hire you" thing isn't so true anymore!

Re: NYC Application and Online Interview
I just tired to complete the online interview and it said that I have already done it within the past 12 months so I do not need to re-do it.
That is upsetting because now I do not have another chance to look at the questions and answer. I have had another year of experience as a leave replacement and may want to change answers. :(

If you remember you username and password you can go in and update your resume. I just did and when i finished it prompted me to take the interview again. I didn't b/c i just did it, but it's worth a try.

It did prompt me to and I entered my username/password but it said that I didn't have to do it again.

Since I went through all of this I would like to share my wisdom :).
I do not believe the answers mean a thing and to be honest I don't even think they look at the answers. You will not get an interview unless you call and call again. You have to call and call and call again until they finally send you a link to invite you to sign yourself up to interview.
FYI... if you interview with the DOE and receive a commitment letter, you will NOT be aloud to work in two key locations...region 3 and region 9. Even if you get the interview on your own, you won't be aloud to take the job. They are looking to put you in areas.. that to be honest you can probably get on your own.
I turned the letter down, it was the best decision I ever made.. because I think I just landed myself a job in region 3 on my own. Sorry for blabbing.. but that process was so damn frustrating..I thought i might be able to help.
Cheers!
