NYC Dash to the Finish Line?
I'm thinking of doing this as my first 5k. Has anyone done this or is anyone planning on doing it? I figure it's a good, mostly flat run through NYC and even though I've done the equivalent of 5k before on the treadmill, I haven't outside and I've never run straight so it gives me some time to train for it because it's in November.
If anyone is interested let me know! I have a couple friends who said 'maybe' but it would be fun to get a group together!

Also Sept 15th---Fitness Magazine Women's Body, Mind, and Spirit Games---its a 4 miler in the park. Want to do it with me? We can run/walk.

I loved the fitness magazine run...what I liked was they separated men and women in different heats. I find it much nicer to run with just men. Men get competitive, especially if they see a woman passing them.
A few years ago I did the race before the marathon that uses the same finish line, but it was 5 miles...I guess they changed it?
