NYC in december...
what are some can't miss things to do with kids in Manhattan during the holidays? We are taking them the first weekend after the tree is lit. We are going to do the tree, see the windows in Macy's. Anything else? What are some good family friendly restaurants in the mid town area? We will be taking Metro North into Grand Central from CT, so something in that area would be great! TIA!

anything in the time square area...esp toys r us, M&M store, etc! There is also a bunch of chain restaurants in that area that are always family friendly!
If there is a tween - American Girl (that is near the tree!)

I"m so about NOT going to "chain" restaurants in NYC but going to good restaurants- if you go on the early side, you won't be bothering anyone.. try Bobby Flay's Bar Americain on 52nd off 6th- it's great!
