NYC New Teacher Orientation
Are any of the new NYC teachers going to this in August? Are those who are hoping to get hired planning to go?

yea it is the 22nd at the javits center from 830-230.
i don't think its mandatory. but i figured it may be useful and a nice way to meet some people and maybe some LIFers.

When I first started teaching in NYC I went to it. There is TONS of FREE stuff that they give away!

you have to register. its not till august so there is still plenty of time to get a job.

Thanks for letting us know u have to register.. I had no idea. I think I registered.. but then they asked for all this info again..and I just closed out. I already have a job.. I hope they didn't want all of that again. Do you get an invite?

i got an email saying they received my registration and they are sending out invites the week of aug 7th. i registered a while ago for this so you may/may not get the email
