NYC Open Market Transfer
Are there usually more vacancies available in June or something? I've been looking since April and there are very few vacancies posted for the districts I'd like to transfer too

yes wait until after the the school year is over. A ton were posted at the end of june/early july

Budgets are released July 1, so that gives schools a better idea of how much money they have to work with. There will be vacancies popping up throughout the summer, but keep in mind that some districts are more prone to vacancies than others.
