NYC restaurant recomendation
We are going into NYC to see a play in a few weeks for our anniversary and would like to have dinner some place nice - within a half hour walk of the theatre district
any recomendations for french, seafood or italian places
thanks for the help

i second this for italian - nice place, great food, and cheap. good wine list too.
other recs in the theater district are blue fin for seafood and rene pujols for french

there are a bunch of restaurants on 9th ave.
Uncle Nicks for great Greek
Delta Grill for Cajun/Creole
then on 52nd b/w 6th and 7th is Ben Bensons- my FAV steak house ever- but it's $$$

for seafood: MARE - 8th ave and 20th - very homey, smallish place with great seafood and good prices.
Also - Red Cat - 10th ave and 23rd. AWESOME place - apparently the guy from Top Chef used to work there - I was just at a party and we got to talking about restaurants and 4 different people who didnt know each other all said that it was their favorite restaurant in the city.
Becco is excellent as well - I would make a reservation if you are interested in eating there, it can get crowded.

oh - forgot to add my favorite french bistro - Le Singe Vert (the green monkey) on 7th and 19th.
They have a great price fixe menu that works for the pre-theatre crowd.

I second this too. I enjoy the food at Becco. Either of these choices will be great.
