NYC Restaurants ideas!
So, first week of August Dh and I will be alone for the whole week while Benjamin is having fun with Grandma and Grandpa in Poconos.
We have decided to make that week really special on go on a date every single night
I would live to get some restaurant recommendations in NYC: not neccesserely fancy at all, just something trully special that stuck in your mind or may be a place where you always wanted to go yourself because of some great things you heard about it.
So far on our list: Yama off Union Square ( I have been many times, and DH have been dying to try it as well)
I would appreciate ideas!
EDT 'cause I can't spell

Do you like steak? DH and I went to Keen's Steakhouse (I think it's on 36th and Broadway) and it was sooooo good. You don't have to be dressed up, but it is pretty expensive. But, well worth it!!!!
ETS: A fun BBQ place that I love to go to is Cowgirl Hall of Fame. So good, and inexpensive.
Good Luck and have fun!

Cite Grill- 59.99 PP with 3 courses and unlimited wine-yes UNLIMITED wine-it just keeps coming! It's great and the food is very good. I also liked Pescatore on 2nd Ave between like 52-53rd sts. I also liked Divine Bar-it is a wine and tapas bar with swanky couches also in the same area as Pescatore

My most fav restaurant is Petrossian - we celebrate all our special occassions there. They are extreamly pricey, but they do have two prix fixe menus that are very reasonable.

Re: NYC Restaurants ideas!
There is a great little Italian restuarant in the village, it's like a hidden jewel! It's called Cucina de Pesche (sp?) on West 4th between 2nd and 3rd. It's a small restaurant, very quaint, cute, romantic...etc. If you get there before 6 they have their early bird special for $10, which includes appitizer, soup or salad, entree, wine or soft drink, coffee and dessert. Before 6 they also serve free mussels at the bar.
We went with my sister two nights before her wedding and did the same when I got married, the whole family went.

Yeah I just asked you to be my friend-you live in the city though right? One thing that my husband and i wanted to do was start a website the antithesis of Zagat like real reviews from real people. Review the meal, service(this is always an issue with us-like how can a place charge 40-60 a person and the server can't open wine ) wine, etc.

Hmm, i am trying ot think what else is around there for after dinner. The problem is that that area is so blah! I hate it!

Re: NYC Restaurants ideas!
For a nice romantic dinner, I adore Flor de Sol, it is in Tribeca. Such a great tapas place and drinks are yummy. I also like Peasant; an Italian place. I believe it is on Elizabeth street?

Bobby Flays Rretaurant La Mesa is sooo good. A little pricey, but so are a majority of the good restaurants in NYC!

Re: NYC Restaurants ideas!
We had a really fun (CHEAP) lunch at Burgers and Cupcakes on 9th b/w 35th and 36th. The food was really good (like homemade) and it was just a fun concept!
