NYC Taxi and car seat ???
We're driving from upstate to a wedding in NYC this weekend. The wedding is in one place and the reception is where we're staying (the westin)....
if we take a cab from the westin to the wedding place, should we bring a car seat for dd?? (She's 10 months old)....or should we just carry her in the cab?

Is she still in the infant seat? If so, then I'd bring it. (Or even if she can still fit in it)
My parents live in the city and we've always just carried him in the cabs (but I don't think we took one for the first time with him until he was like 17 months)

We've been to the city a few times with dd and always just take the subway bc I've been nervous having her on our lap in a cab. I don't know if thats possible with where you are going though, we usually pick places to go in the city based on the different subway lines lol

Do you have the snap n go type thing for the car seat to go on? Then I think it would be convenient because you will need a stroller in nyc no matter what.
If you plan to take a car seat AND a stroller separately, definitely leave the car seat at home. Holding a kid on your lap in manhattan is totally common.

and seriously, you are never moving more than 15 miles an hour when driving in nyc 
I've seen babies carried in cabs all the time, baby in one hand a light weight stroller in the other
