NYC Teachers - If you want to quit teaching mid year - what happens?
-You resign right?
-Do they pay you for days in your CAR?
-If in two years you wanted to go back to the NYC BOE, do you think you can get back in?

-Yes, you need to type out a resignation letter.
-Yes, they'll pay you half (so if you had 10 days left in your car, you'll get paid for 5)
-Maybe, depends if there are openings & a principal wants to hire you.

I would look into taking some kind of leave of absence before resigning. I think there may be one that applies
