I dont want to because I am a firm believer of not going in until you are paid...but I got screwed at the end of last year and had to change rooms So I am going in on Thursday to paper the room and secure 32 desks for ALL those kids on my roster! I am still in disbelief that I have that many kids in my 4th grade class!!!!
Then I am calling it a day and not doing anyhthing else until the 8th!

I am! I am going in next Thursday and probably Friday. I have to meet with my student teacher so I figured I'd set my classroom up while I'm there.

i can't and don't need to but i used to i think its important to set up a nice room for the kids

I am going in to set up my room next Wednesday, but I have meetings on Monday and Tuesday.

DH and I went in yesterday and tomorrow to START setting up his room. This is his first year as a classroom teacher (was in AIS before) and so he is starting fresh. We have A LOT of work to do in that room and a lot of things we need to throw away and clean.

For me, we will go in the following week and I will start setting up. I switched jobs so this will be my first time in my classroom so I have no idea how long it will take me to fix up...

I am definitely going in early to set up!! I have a new room this year so basically EVERYTHING is in boxes in the closets!! Nothing is set up AT ALL ..

I hope to do it all in 2 days next week, otherwise I hope it doesn't take me more than 3.

To be honest I am sort of looking forward to setting up only because I am really excited about the pretty stuff I got to decorate! I just wish I didn't have to actually go in and teach the week after. I'd love to go in, set up, and come home for another 2 months!!

my friend and i both got excessed after 5 years in our old school/classrooms so we will both be going in a few days next week to sort through someone elses garbage, clean, and set up.

I think we'll be expected to go in early. I am on the fence- if I go I have to take my daughter with me because I have no one to watch her- DH goes back Monday. However, for the first time ever I was super-organized when I put stuff away and I had a couple students help me cut out the bulletin board paper (sad how that task still takes me forever!). So I while I have a lot to do, it's managable.

I'm going in - my office was moved to the other side of the school, and if I don't start setting up early, I'll be there until midnight on the 8th. But I'm not going in until next week.

I am going to go in on Sept 4th because Summer school always uses my room and leaves a mess, so I go in to look at the damage- I do a few things here and there for a couple of hours and then leave!

I dont want to be there if Im not getting paid! lol

I am unfortunately...probably monday and tuesday. I work at an offsite and even though there isn't supposed to be professional development...i have a staff meeting in the morning on the 8th so that would only leave me about 3 hours in the afternoon to set up...so i'll be there next week.

im going in on monday and will prob be there fronm mon -fri. i have to unpack 40 boxes and put the room together from scratch
