NYCers eye air guitar world record today

New Yorkers are hoping to break the world record for the largest air guitar ensemble.
The cast and crew of Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" will team with US Air Guitar to host the event after Wednesday's matinee performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
William Ocean, the 2007 National Air Guitar champion, will teach the audience how to play the air guitar.
People who don't have tickets to the show are invited to show up at 4:20 p.m. and enter once the curtain closes.
A representative from Guinness World Records will be on hand to verify the number of participants. The current world record for largest air guitar ensemble stands at 440.
