OB GYN Location--for ladies who work in the city
This may sound like an obvious question, but I am really not sure what to do.
I do not really care for my current OB-GYN, at least not enough to keep seeing her throughout a pregnancy. My primary care doctor is located in Manhattan and could only recommend Manhattan doctors.
DH and I live in the Great Neck area (at least we do now), but I work in the city, so in some ways, it would be easier for me to have an OB-GYN in the city. However, when it comes time to have the baby, I would probably want to go to a hospital here. I tend to doubt any Manhattan based OB GYN would schlep out here.
How have some of you commuters handled this? Did you find someone close to your home or work?

I don't commute to the city. I live and work in Queens.
I am not sure if you are interested, but I go to wonderful gyn in Bayside. THe whole staff is great. There are other gyn/obsertricians(sp) that are great too.
Anyway the info is Dr. Rothstein at NORth Shore GYN@718 224 5800. All the drs are associated with North Shore Hospital.]
Just a note. If you decide to use a dr in the city, they are usually associated with a hospital in the city.

I go to an OBGYN in the city, but I live in Queens, so it is not far for me to travel from home at all.
Good Luck!
