Obamas taxes on small businesses
I was watching tonight when he said something about raising the taxes on businesses who make more than 250k a year... he said that was a small portion of the small businesses. Is he talking gross or net? If it is gross then I have some SERIOUS thought about who I want in the office!

he is talking about PERSONAL INCOME TAX of the business OWNER.
like what the owner's YEARLY SALARY OUT of the business is.
NOT the overall business gross.

Re: Obamas taxes on small businesses
net - profit - not total sales
they said this morning on MSNBC that it would only effect 1.3% of small businesses

Ok, thank GOODNESS. I was starting to get a little nervous because I never saw that little issue clarified anywhere.

I thought in addition to that he was saying that small businesses who have less than $250,000 annual profit would be getting a tax break to help them offer health insurance to their employees. I know a few people who own small businesses who can't afford health insurance for their families.

That would be great! We pay out the nose for health insurance. Our employees don't take the coverage because it costs too much. I don't like it being mandated that we offer insurance but what can you do.
