Re: OBGYN Reference in Manhattan
I go to Cornell Medical Westside, on W. 72nd street. I see Dr Erica Weinstein who i love! (646) 962-7800
They are a great office with OBGYN, PEDS and IM all in the same office. Also they deliver at NY Presbyterian- Cornell Hospital....which is the ranked best hospital in the city for labor and delivery.

Dr Mindy Kwan i heard great things about too but she is at Lenox Hill. She did not take my insurance...i think she only takes 1 or two insurances though.

Rachel Kassenoff on E. 84th & Park. Delivers at Mt Sinai. She delivered DS and she's amazing. I've since moved to LI and continue to see her.

I go to Cornell Eastside, the whole practice is great. But DS's pediatrician is at Westside since we live on the west side now. They're both excellent practices, you can't go wrong with any of the OB/GYNs at either office. And I delivered at Cornell, it's nothing short of excellent.

Re: OBGYN Reference in Manhattan
Oh awesome! Thank you for all the ref's! It's so hard to find a Dr. that is good and who I like. I called Dr Weinstein but she is not taking new patients (FYI for others who might be thinking of making an appt). So I moved down the list to Dr. Kwan - I have an appt 2nd wk of Nov. which to me is great. In the past I've had to wait literally 2-3 months for an appt to a new dr. Yippee! I'm way overdue for a check up.
Thank you ladies!!

Re: OBGYN Reference in Manhattan
My BFF has very bad experience with Dr. Natalia Meimaris. Would not recommend her to an enemy. Read ratemds.com about her.
I would recommend: Dr. Samuel Levin- Lenox Hill Dr. Yuri Arov- Beth Israel

Re: OBGYN Reference in Manhattan
I see Drs. Hedley, Christopher, and Henry in midtown - right by GC. I know I've seen Dr. Hedley recommended a lot on here too and I can understand why, but she's nearly impossible to get an appointment with, at least to become a patient. I usually see Dr. Christopher, but Dr. Henry is great too and like I said Hedley's terrific but can be hard to see (Christopher and Henry are both men - if that's an issue for you - Hedley is a woman).

UPDATE Re: OBGYN Reference in Manhattan
Just wanted to write this little update for anyone else looking for an obgyn who might come across this thread.
I love Dr Kwan! I saw her a few times now because as it turns out I needed to have a minor outpatient procedure. She's always so professional and nice in the office, but today she was so awesome! she was warm and friendly and made me feel totally comfortable before they "put me under".
One thing, the say they accept my insurance. maybe it's my plan, but i did need to pay for the procedure up front, however she only charged what the insurance company would reimburse for. So....while she does accept it, i still needed to pay out of pocket up front. not sure if this is typical or not these days. One thing about this that makes me nervous is that if I do end up TTC and continuing with Dr. Kwan, which I would love to, I don't know if we can afford to do all this up front payment for everything. Hmmm....
I will say everyone I encountered, from her receptionists, the billing office, and the pre and post op staff at lenox hill were super nice.
and as a side note, when she asked me about how i found her and i told her a referral from someone on LIF, she got a kick out it, although she'd never heard of LIF.
