OBX Review-pics
I just got back on Sat from the Outer Banks, NC and I wanted to share with everyone! It was such a great vacation and I would highly recommend it as a group trip to anyone. We rented a house with friends (4 couples) and had a 4 bedroom 3 level house with a pool, hot tub, and pool table for around 700/couple. Everything was clean, beautiful, and new in the house and for a week away it was a totally reasonable vacation. We drove down - it was about an 10-11 hour drive. We ate out 2 of the 7 nights. The rest of the time we took turns cooking and grilling dinner which was fun! The only bad part was that it was the hottest week of the year so temps were up around 105 and there were a few days we couldn't go to the beach b/c it was just too hot so we spent the day in the pool but had just as much fun doing that! I'll post some pictures in an album soon. We are already looking into houses for next year and maybe adding a few couples! :)

very cool! glad you had a good time!!
what town did you stay in?? my parents have a vacation house down there- on cape hatteras in avon. there is NOTHING as relaxing as being down there!!! just such a slower pace, and so pretty! can't wait to see pics and stuff!

My sister had been before and recommended a few rental places and we went with Brindley Beach Rentals and they were great!
One of the nice perks of the area is that if you can't fit your beach chairs, bikes, umbrella's, kayak's, etc., in your car you can rent everything there for a day or for the week! Oh and the houses are really reasonable in comparison to staying at a hotel for a week.

ugh!! soo great!! makes me want to go back!  looks like you guys had a great REAL vacation- nothing but the beach, pool, and hot tub glad you had fun!

my Brother just got married there and we rented house- it was alot of fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat
how was I able to drive down in 7 hours?
if felt like forever- I didn't take I95- I went on all these little highways
