Off pill-period

So, my gyno told me that after I get off the pill it would take three months or so for my period to regulate. I had an irregular period before I went on the pill, and I've been on the pill for seven years. I just got off the pill a month ago, and I got my period a day before I would have gotten it on the pill. Does that mean the hormones are still in my system from the pill? Or is my body already adjusted? I thought the hormones would be out of my system as soon as I stopped taking the pill though. I'm wondering because if the hormones are still in my system would that mean that I won't really ovulate? I'm so confused. I bought the ovulation tests because I figured that I was irregular before the pill, so I would be irregular after the pill.

its hard to say bc everyone is different. when i went off the pill my cycle was anywhere from 24 to 44 days. Some girls are regular as soon as they go off the pill.

Everyone is different. my first month off i got my period exactly when I should have and this month I am on cd 41 and just ovulating now or so says the OPK

my cycles have been pretty regular

i was always every 28 before the pill and my first 3 after the pill have been 31 26 29

I was regular right away, so it can happen. but I've also heard of people who were regular the first month and then it went haywire. So really only time will tell.

Thanks guys... I guess I will just start the ovulation tests and see what happens :O)

mine have been 28, 25, and ? (on CD 22 right now)
