Official DIY party Decoration thread!

Please share anything you made for DC's bday parties that wasn't TOO difficult!

I'm looking for some inspiration!

Also- post links to templates, directions, etc if you have them!

And definitely add pics!

Re: Official DIY party Decoration thread!

My post of my DSs bday is a few down. I made 115 hot cocoa cones and people LOVED them. I was luck enough to find pizza bags in the Christmas Tree Shop. Put the cocoa in a bag, seal it with a rubber band and trim it short. Put that in another bag, top with chocolate chips and marshmallows and tie with a ribbon. I made tissue paper balls. I found the directions on line. Basically you gold the paper like a fan in 1 inch spaces and secure the middle. Cut the edges in peaks and fan it all out. And I did a dessert bar in blue and white. I made the cupcakes and dipped pretzels, marshmallows and Oreos in chocolate.

I made a lot of things for DS' party. I made:

- Happy birthday banner
- Themed pinata (this was extreeeemely time consuming, but so worth it)
- Labels for candy bags
- Themed favor bags
- Streamer sticks for the kids
- Pin the tail on the donkey-type game, but in the party theme
- Invitations
- All desserts (except cake). Included chocolate covered: marshmallows, pretzels, oreo truffles, and cake balls.
- Utensil wraps (like a napkin ring)
- His party shirt in the theme (I made him a Muno shirt with felt and on the back ironed on his name and put a big felt #1)
- Muno shirts for me and for DH to be in theme with DS and the party
(The shirts were really easy - they sell sticky felt in Michaels, I cut out the shapes and stuck on the shirts. For DS' shirt, I tacked the felt pieces with a few sewn stitches).

There's other stuff, but I'm blanking right now. Most of the stuff there's pictures of in my DS' birthday party post Chat Icon

So far, I made Sienna her party tutu and I made her name letters for the dessert table (doing an enchanted forest theme). My friend from Love and Hope Designs is helping me with other things but if I think of anything else I will let you know!
