Let's start a thread with ideas of what to do all winter. anyone know of playgroups, moms groups,etc.
post the name and locations here.
(and links to old threads, if applicable, I know I will find some old links myself).
I posted these a while back, but there are so many new mommies now, thought i'd share them again.  
These are smithtown/east northport area.

Also
The Moms Club (momsclub.org)
in MANY locations worldwide! and you can find a chapter near you. There are a bunch on Long Island for sure. Fee is usually around $25 per yr.
The Mothers Center (numerous locations across Long Island). motherscenter.org ?
to find local informal groups:
- if you go to yahoo / click on Groups. do a search for your area, type in "moms" or "playgroups" and the name of your county or town, or anything/topic that would pull up what youre interested in.

I think there is sort of a thread like this Anna, it definately has all of the open play places and it is few pages long already. Let me see if I can bump it.

This is great! I'm always looking for playdates, but its so hard...We don't know many people in our area.
