officially unemployed

add me to the list, I am now officilaly unemployed and can join my best friend in the job hunt. I am/was in Communications/Marketing. If anyone has any leads or good headhunters can you let me know. I had a Director level position, I can't believe it. I honestly don't know what we are going to do, it's only been a week and I am panicking. I filed for unemployemnt already but I am really, really nervous. I don't know how we can live on one salary. I literally feel sick.

I found my current job through twitter. I tweeted that I was looking, an industry friend saw, and forwarded me a job description for my current company that wasn't even posted online.

try to think out of the box as you hunt. GL!

Last poster made an excellent point. I love Twitter because this is one of the only ways I get a lot of interaction with others in my field since my position is somewhat isolating. I ALWAYS share on there if I know of an opening at my agency.

Sometimes there is not an opening per se, but my boss will generally come up with something if he likes a person and can make the financial pitch to the CEO.

I also know that there are a couple people at my agency right now where it's going to be just a matter of time before they end up getting the boot ;).
