oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
for 9-12 mo clothing in DS's dresser...
OMG this boy has more clothing than DH and I combined IT's criminal, becuase the vast majority of the stuff are jeans, cords.... when I know we're too lazy to wrestle with the onsies on the changing table so he's always in footie pjs
here comes the question.... when did you start regularly dressing your DC in 'daytime clothing' rather than footie pjs? DS is tall, so he's already fitting in 'big boy clothes', but he's still rather young! he doesn't crawl around yet...
so when did you start putting jeans on DC on a regular day at home?

Re: oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
I dressed her pretty much every day since about 2 months old only because she had soooo many clothes it would've been a shame for her to never wear them. She certainly seems more comfy thogh when she's in those cotton Carter's pants, or PJs.
When Daddy stays home with her he always lets her stay in PJs. It's like their *thing*

Re: oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
I started dressing her in real clothes when she was around 4 months but only as the PP said b/c she had so many clothes.
It's more of a pain now at 12 months than it was then b/c she fights us tooth and nail during diaper changes. Makes life interesting.

Re: oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
my son is also 6 months and he's been in real clothes from the beginning. i have never put him in pjs or sleep and plays for the day.
it was very important to me that both he and i got dressed every day and didn't stay in what we slept in.
i just started putting out the 6-9 month stuff today as well!

Re: oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
I was opposite, his first 2 months of life I would dress him every day. now that I bring him to MIL when I go to work, he stays in feeties all day every day. Too lazy to keep changing him!! I only put clothes on him if we go out to the mall which isn't very often

I was the same way. But Christopher was a spring baby, so he wore shorts and stuff like that. He didn't really wear long pants until the fall when he was about 5-6 months old.
I actually think real clothes are easier to change than footies or sleep and plays.

Re: oh boy...just swapped out all the 6 mo clothing
I've dressed him since day one. To me, getting into a routine was important. So after he wakes up from his first morning nap (around 10am) he gets dressed for the day- usually a onesie with pants. Then at 5-6pm he gets undressed and gets his bath. Occassionally I will put him in a one-piece "daytime" outfit, but I actully prefer the ease of the onesie/pants.
